Fryer/Grill Cook

Job Summary: The Fryer/Back Grill Cook Provides attractively prepared foods of exceptional quality to be served on the Buffet. Main duties include utilizing commercial fryers in the preparation of food items, filling requests for the steam table from the food ordering machine and maintaining the fryer work area.

Duties and responsibilities: 

  • All employees are expected to uphold our company’s values, vision, and mission in their daily work and interactions, ensuring alignment with our core principles and goals.
  • Utilize and maintain commercial boasters and fryers in food preparation.
  • Bread chicken by hand
  • Perform related food preparation and work environment duties such as stocking, routine cleaning, organizing, etc.
  • Process requests for the steam table from the food ordering machine.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the management.
  • Follow company health and safety expectations and all department standards, policies, and procedures. – rotating stock, proper cooking temperatures, washing hands, wearing gloves, etc.
  • Changing out the oil as outlined in the SOP’s

Education and Experience:  Must be 18 years or older. Education and/or experience in the culinary arts is desired but not a prerequisite.  On-the-job training is available.

  • Food will be edible, fresh, attractive, and prepared properly, efficiently, and resourcefully.
  • The kitchen environment appears stocked, clean, and organized, meeting or exceeding health and safety codes.
  • Assigned duties are completed properly and promptly
  • Steam table requests are processed promptly so that food items are adequately available to customers.
  • Duties assigned by the management are completed properly and promptly.

  • Must be able to lift up to 40lbs repeatedly throughout the shift
  • Be able to move around quickly
  • Walking, bending, kneeling, standing, pushing, and pulling
  • Ability to stand on the feet for the duration of the shift
