Return Policy

At Shady Maple, we want every purchase to be perfect for you. If you need to make a return, please review the following guidelines:

General Guidelines

• All returns must be made within 30 days of purchase.
• Original receipt is required. No receipt, no return.
• Items marked “Final Sale” or “Reduced for Clearance” are non-returnable.

Food & Grocery

• Bulk foods cannot be returned or exchanged per PA Department of Agriculture regulations.
• Perishable items may only be returned at a manager’s discretion, following food safety policies and applicable laws.
• We accept returns only for products that do not meet our quality standards.
  Please note: We cannot accept returns of perishable foods purchased in excess or in error (wrong variety, flavor, size, etc.). These returns increase costs, create waste, and impact the environment.

Seasonal, Holiday & Clearance

• Returns for seasonal or holiday merchandise are subject to manager approval.
• Clearance items and products marked “Final Sale” are not eligible for return.

Gift Cards

• Store gift cards, e-gift cards, and specialty/Blackhawk gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged.

Special Categories

• EBT, WIC, and SNAP purchases: Refunds or exchanges follow state and federal guidelines.
• Baby formula, books, magazines, newspapers, and pharmacy prescriptions: Cannot be returned or exchanged.

Plants

• Refunds for seasonal plants that cannot be resold require manager approval and will be issued as store credit only.
• Reduced or clearance plants are sold “as is” and are non-refundable.
