Soup & Salad Prep Cooks prepare a variety of fresh menu items, including sandwiches, pizzas, soups, and salads, to be served to customers. Main duties include utilizing commercial kitchen equipment in the preparation of food items from recipes, proper storage and rotation of ingredients, stocking and organizing food supplies, maintaining a clean kitchen prep area, assisting customers with questions, and supporting daily kitchen operations.
Job Function & Duties:
- Making sandwiches and pizzas
- Follow recipes and utilize commercial kitchen equipment in food preparation and storage.
- Perform related food preparation and kitchen-environment duties, such as stocking, routine cleaning, and organizing.
- Proper food rotation and dating.
- Assist customers with questions or problems as necessary.
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the management.
- Lift and/or carry objects light to occasional medium weight as per the United States Department of Labor definitions.
- Follow company health and safety expectations.
Job Skills:
- Food preparation skills with the ability to follow recipes and use commercial kitchen equipment
- Organization and attention to food safety, including proper storage, rotation, and sanitation
- Communication Skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently
Physical Requirements:
- Be on your feet for an extended amount of time.
- Be able to move with alacrity and walk.
- Must be able to lift and/or carry objects light and medium weight.
