Icing Cake Team Member

The Icing Cake Team Member is responsible for finishing cakes and other bakery items by icing, decorating, applying toppings, packaging, and preparing products for sale. 

Job Function & Duties:

  • Ice, decorate, and finish cakes by applying frosting, borders, writing, and decorative toppings.

  • Prepare and assemble cream, custard, and fruit pies and cakes.

  • Package baked goods, including shrink-wrapping, labeling, and pricing products.

  • Utilize commercial bakery equipment such as icing tools, small mixers, double boilers, drazzlers, and shrink-wrappers.

  • Follow production sheets to prepare the appropriate variety and quantity of finished products.

  • Perform quality control tasks including product dating, rotation, and inspecting products during preparation.

  • Transport products within production areas using wheeled carts.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including stocking supplies and assisting with routine cleaning.

  • Perform additional job-related duties as assigned by management.

  • Candidates must be at least 18 years of age as required by the United States Department of Labor.

Job Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and product presentation.

  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced bakery environment.

  • Maintain quality control and food safety standards.

  • Willingness to learn multiple bakery production tasks.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift and/or carry objects light and occasional medium weight as defined by the United States Department of Labor
  • Must be able to push carts/pull hand jacks skids though the warehouse to the floor
  • Must be able to stand on feet for the duration of shift
  • Active job which requires walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching,
