Marketing Support Specialist
Position Summary
The Marketing Support Specialist ensures accuracy and consistency across all marketing materials while assisting with digital content creation, including photo and video production. This role supports the Marketing Director and Marketing Assistant by managing details, reducing errors, and creating engaging content that highlights Shady Maple Farm Market, Smorgasbord, and Gift Shop.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Control & Coordination
- Know the marketing calendar for promotions, events, and social media.
- Proofread and review weekly ads, sale flyers, and email blasts for accuracy.
- Serve as the final checkpoint before marketing materials are published.
- Coordinate with internal teams (store, smorgasbord, gift shop) to confirm details for promotions.
- Assure all marketing materials show consistent pricing and details.
- Ability to think critically and communicate clearly.
Digital Content Creation
- Assist with capturing and editing photos and short videos for social media and the website.
- Create simple graphics using Canva or similar tools.
- Work with the Marketing Director in the creation of social media content (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok).
- Assist with website updates for events and promotions.
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills.
- Basic knowledge of social media platforms.
- Basic graphic design skills (Canva preferred).
- Photography and video editing experience (smartphone-level acceptable).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Graphic Design, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
- 1–2 years in marketing, communications, or related field.
- Experience in retail or food service marketing is a bonus.
